About me
I began studying at WIU in 2021 with majors in Broadcast & Journalism (Multimedia Journalism) and Foreign Language (Spanish). I anticipate graduating in December 2024 and starting a career as a Multimedia Journalist.
In my time at WIU, I have been involved in the student-run media Western Courier and News3. In the spring semester of 2022, I became the Opinions Editor of the WC. Around this time I also became an assistant producer for News3 and began learning the art of producing live shows. I became the Editor-in-Chief of WC and the Executive Producer of News3 in the fall semester of 2022.
I am not a heritage speaker of Spanish, but I have been studying the language since my freshman year of high school. I have been involved in two study abroad trips, both month-long trips to Spain. I enjoy learning about culture and language and studying differences in cultural behavior. I have a broad understanding of different Hispanic traditions, especially those in Mexico and Spain.
